Wonderland Avatar
Here is my avatar standing next to my photo. Unfortunately Wonderland crashes any time I try to do anything more complicated than changing my gender, but I'm kind of digging the blue hair!

Slideshow
This is a slideshow I put together showing the object that I built in Cloud Party Time. I don't think I need to submit this assignment for my final, but as it closely corresponds with finals #2, why not? It is a final exercise from the
Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The
course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the
immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.

Wonderland Avatar
I've updated my Wonderland avatar so now I'm a woman:
I tried to configure it further, but the program crashed every time I tried this. After going to the help page, I updated Java and tried to update my graphics driver, but this didn't help at all and it kept crashing on me. I'm taking this as a sign that I'm supposed to have this as my avatar. I've always wanted to have blue hair.

Wonderland
I'm in Wonderland and I feel welcomed
What's this?
Came in close to read sign and ended up getting teleported to a classroom:
Unsuccessfully trying to go for a hike:
Heading back to the lounge:
Testing out different camera angles. The top view allows me to move the chairs:
Here's me from the front!

Education Grid Screenshots
Here are screenshots of the website explaining the Education Grid. This is the homepage:
Here is information about the inception of the project - when it was first announced and when it was launched - as well as the legal liability and an explanation of why they want a member's-only community.
Here's information about security and its broad access which shows options for educators.
Oh, and here's the link at the bottom of the page to bring you to access the grid. It's so tempting to click on it!

Chrome Experiment Screenshots
Here's a screenshot of the game X-Wing, unfortunately a screen shot can't play the Star Wars theme which is part of what makes the game awesome. I didn't get too far and managed to blow myself up numerous times, but it seems to be tons of fun. http://www.chromeexperiments.com/detail/x-wing/?f=
Here's the big bang Chrome Experiment, which is incredibly visually stunning http://www.chromeexperiments.com/detail/big-bang/?f=:
Here's Chaos to Perfection, which is a 3D representation of Versailles. You can click on different parts of the palace to view and within those scenes you can change the camera angle. Here's the Hall of Mirrors:
Since I'm greedy, I grabbed a fourth one. This is called Disc, and simple objects move around to create more complicated structures. The best part is that classical music is playing in the background so it looks like the objects are dancing to the music. http://www.chromeexperiments.com/detail/disc/

Building in Cloud Party Time
This is a set of screenshots showing me building a sculpture in Cloud Party Time for Final #2. It is a final exercise from the
Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The
course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the
immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.
In order to start my sculpture, I found a relatively quiet place and placed two wooden cylinders on the ground.
I've added a long block to place on top of the cylinders. I flipped in and then used the move function to get it into position. It's interesting having to walk all around the structure to make sure that everything's in place. Definitely not something I had to do in Gimp.
Now I'm adding large triangles on either side of the wooden cylinder so I can work more with flipping objects and moving them. I'm trying to be pretty precise, so I'm also entering numbers at the top under the X, Y, and Z spots so I have more control over the objects.
I've added a tube on top and then placed a couple of balls in there. Here I am moving one of the balls around. I really had no reason to add this other than I really wanted to use these materials. I've apparently built a modern version of Stonehenge.
Now I've added a couple of triangles on one of the sides. I'm not sure why, but it's looking like a really funky doorway.
I've added a cannon for some reason. It's a strange choice as I'm very anti-guns, but I'll just go with it. Here I am tilting it at an angle so I can rest the wheels on the triangles.
Here's my final product. I guess it goes to show that sometimes you have no idea what the end result will be until you get there. I also learned how frustrating it can be to put things together without the ease of being able to use ctrl-z to undo.
